Biodegradable
The loofah (also called Luffa) comes from the cucumber-like zucchini plant. Quite a mouthful, but the bottom line is that the zucchini plant bears fruits that are peeled and dried. The answer? A 100% vegetable and biodegradable Loofah sponge! The Loofah is a natural scrubbing sponge that exfoliates your skin soft and shiny. The sponge removes dead skin cells and stimulates both blood flow and the production of new skin cells.
How do you use it?
Wet the Loofah sponge in the shower before using it. It works best if you massage it gently over damp skin. If you want, you can slide one of our body bars over the Loofah briefly to create extra foam. After use, wring out the Loofah well and hang it up to dry. You can even wash it in the washing machine from time to time.
For hygienic use, we recommend sterilizing the Loofah Sponge from time to time. This prevents bacteria from accumulating in the nooks and crannies of this sponge. How do you do that? Briefly bring the sponge to the boil in a pan with water.
Flat Loofah Sponge
Loofah sponges are sometimes sold as a round sponge and sometimes as a flattened sponge. Is the sponge itself different? No, just the shape! We have chosen to offer our Loofah's flat for several reasons: Don't worry, the Loofah will slowly unfold in the shower when you get it wet!
In general, the loofah takes up less space, from our producer to us and from us to you. Less volume to send = less CO2
